Feb 28th’s Zelenskyy/Trump/Vance press conference was a new low in global diplomacy. The President and the Vice President of the US played ill-educated mafia bosses turning the sacred affairs of war and peace and world order into a thuggish version of reality TV diplomacy. They tried to force Zelenskyy to kiss the ring and he heroically did not.

But we all know things will get far worse.

We awake on March 1 with a torrent of emotion about justice and the long game and yet all BBC and Sky and CNN do is replay the 11 minutes of torture with very minimal analysis. So I want to provide my mega-orderers with my team’s analysis:

Any American who can watch the Zelensky/Trump/Vance video without shame, horror, and a teary eye is not someone I can understand. Slava Ukraini. They fight for all our liberties and for any kind of real order in the world. This is a humiliating day and I am embarrassed truly. I can tell you we will never live down the shame of some of the stuff that is gonna happen from here on out. I don't know where this leaves those of us as European and American individuals who care about living in a world where bullies don’t get their way and where might doesn’t make right.

My first waking thought this morning was that our grandkids will be like German kids are when I was a kid (but to a lesser degree as there is no genocide yet) having to feel embarrassed in polite company when certain topics come up and feeling that they have to apologize for what their dead relatives did and didn't do and said and didn’t say… And then thinking oh my Grandpa was on the right side… but then wondering what their actual grandparents did and said in these days.

So, It is a time for the kind of moral clarity that Bill Browder has and that he will bring to our Disorder episode that will drop on Tuesday March 4th.

Anonymous—we are old friends and you certainly have far more political experience that I have, you must be kidding. You’re right they are not equals. Zelensky has a brain, a soul, and a true commitment to his country. Trump is a bully. Does he want Zelensky fall at his feet? Vance is merely an idiot.

BC:You know I never liked Trump, but he is correct now. Zelensky is a fool, willing to allow the war to continue to gain what? a few inches here and there? while his countrymen die and young Russians die? The territorial issues were settled two years ago on the battlefield. Now the World War One style trench warfare is a stale mate, except with each month Russia rebuilds its war machine while Ukraine loses irreplaceable soldiers. Zelensky should have arrived at the White House with a tad of humilty, as the supplicant. His outrageous arrogance on an open microphone in front of journalists, should never have happened.

Jason Pack: I am sorry, but you are not right. I work on these issues every day. Trump is just playing a Russian agent on TV. Zelensky is a real hero and acted like one. Zelensky isn't a fool or a supplicant, if you think he should play one while meeting Trump you don't understand how bullies work. Trump is a bully who needs to be confronted... now by the EU who needs to rise to the challenge… Trump can't and doesn't want to bring peace. He only will want to bring disorder that allows putin to grab more territory. Bullies don't want peace they want more disorder
